After claiming 6-4 and 7-5 wins over Marysville tonight, Thunder Softball has officially recorded their best regular season ever!
The ladies, 16-4, will head into Regionals as the #2 seed, w/ brackets set to be released tomorrow.

JV Softball scheduled for Tuesday, May 10th @ Jaycee field will be canceled due to lack of umpires. Make-up date will be Thursday, May 12th @ 4:30 p.m. on Pearson field, pending umpire availability.

The Thunder Thespians ended the 2022 season in 5th place out of 43 3A schools at the KSHSAA 3A State Championship tournament on Saturday!
The team had 7 of their 16 events break into the semi-finals (Top 12) and 2 of those events broke to the finals.
In the finals, Kyndall Sextro won 5th place in informative speaking Samantha Holthaus and Kyndall Sextro won 6th place in IDA.
Making it to the semi-finals were: Dylann Grauer and Allison Schmelzle in duet (ended in 7th), Alayna Scism in oration (ended in 8th), Karly Tangeman in oration (ended in 8th), Natalie Felder in POI (ended in 10th), and Elena Gonzalez in serious solo (ended in 12th).
Other members of the 5th place team were: Lilly Schultejans, Amber Blume, Isabelle Hammes, Maddy Mosteller and Lane Mosteller.
Five members of the team also competed at State Festival which was also held on Saturday. At festival, Mia Schmitz earned a I rating in poetry, Collin Jost earned a I in impromptu speaking, Ryan Uphaus earned a I in extemp, and Luke Schmelzle and Alan Schmelzle earned a II in IDA.
