Do you have TALENT? The Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School hosted a Talent Show on Thursday, October 27. The talent show featured students from grades 4th through 8th who were brave enough to show their talent. The show only had a handful of students who volunteered to take part. The talent show was held in the gym where mats and pianos were set out for the performers. The student hosts at the talent show were Conner Lueger and Kalem Schmelzle.

The first performance, Double Trouble, was performed by Sawyer Lutz and Emersyn Novotny. The girls did a series of cartwheels and gymnastic moves in their performance. The second performance was Ethan Jost, who played “Alouette,” “The Greatest Show on Earth,” and “Freight Train” by William Palmer on the piano. The third performance, I Hope You Laugh, was performed by Graham Lueger, who told funny jokes and even managed to do a perfect British accent, which had the crowd roaring with laughter.

“It felt pretty weird with everyone staring at me but later I felt better because everyone was laughing at my jokes and understanding them,” said Graham Lueger.

The fourth performance was Remi Bergman and Kaci Koelzer, who performed a gymnastics routine to “Roar” by Katy Perry. The fifth performer, Piper Huerter, played “I See the Light” by Alan Menken on the piano. The sixth act was by Zoey Lockhart and Ella Sourk, performing gymnastics to “Levitating” by Dua Lipa Ft. DaBaby. The seventh performer was Anna Jost, who played “Circus March” by Julius Fucik, and “Casey Jones” by William Palmer.

The eighth performance was Abbott Sullivan playing “Dance Monkey” by Toni Watson on the clarinet. The ninth performer was Brooklyn Korber who did card tricks with one volunteer from the crowd of students. The final performance was a “Better Place Lyrical Dance,” performed by Madison Ward.

“Before the show, the hosts said that there’s probably not going to be any levitating but after the show, the host said I guess there was a lot of levitating in that show,” said Irelynn Foster.

The hosts wrapped up the show and everyone gave a round of applause to those who performed in the talent show.
