Veteran's Day

On November 11, 2025, Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School held their Annual Veterans’ Day Program in the high school's main gym.

When the event began, all the veterans were brought into the main gym  and seated in their chairs. The program started with Jayla Nolte, Fr., singing the “Star-Spangled Banner”, followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. All attendees watched a video honoring all former and retired veterans from the community. Then, veterans were honored by branch, standing when their branch was announced. As a special thanks, the veterans were given a USA handkerchief. After, the second part of the video was shown. The video was divided into two parts because of the large amount of veterans in and around Seneca. At the end of the ceremony,  fallen veterans from the community were announced to honor them.

After the event, veterans were free to grab cookies which were situated in the cafeteria of the high school. The veterans got to hang out with their family members and friends while viewing poems written by the middle schoolers.
