For the NCMS 2023 season, there were two runners that went out for Cross Country, Korah Koch (8th grader) and Anna Jost (7th grader). Since both of the girls went out for Volleyball, they were not able to attend every meet of the season.
To start the season, Korah attended the Marysville meet on September 2nd. She got 10th place for the girls. She finished with a time of 16:41.
The next couple of meets were at Washington and Hiawatha but the girls were not able to attend those meets. Next, was the NC Invitational Meet on September 21st. There was also a Volleyball game that day so Korah participated in both sports. She finished the Cross Country race with 9th place for the girls and finished with a time of 17:37.
After the NC Invitational Meet, Korah and Anna ran at the Big 7 League Cross Country meet at Perry-Lecompton on September 28th. Anna Finished 2nd for the Big 7 League with a time of 17:11 and Korah finished 9th for the Big 7 League with a time of 17:24.
On October 5th, the girls participated in the Sabetha Fun Run Meet. At this meet, 3rd grade through 8th grade could participate in the Fun Run. Anna finished 3rd and Korah finished 5th overall.
The girls finished the Cross Country season with the Jackson Heights meet on October 17th. Anna placed 14th in the 7th grade girls division with a time of 18:17 and Korah placed 6th in the 8th grade girls division with a time of 18:18.
Overall, it was a great Cross Country season and the girls ran hard every race they were able to attend. Nice work girls!
