Our Lady Thunder Basketball Team began basketball practice just a few days after the Volleyball season had ended. They had less than two weeks before their first game so they had to get right to work.
On Monday, October 16th, our Thunder Girls Basketball team kicked off the season with their first game. They faced the Perry-Lecompton Kaws in their first game of the season. The girls started the season off strong and took home a couple of wins.
8th grade A team fought a tough battle for a while but ended up winning against the Kaws with a score of 28-13. B team also followed with a win of 32-3. The girls came ready to play hard!
“We tried hard and dominated the court”, said Alivia Stallbaumer, eighth grader.
Unfortunately, 7th grade lost with a tight score of 22-25 A team. Our 7th grade B team came back and won 6-4 in a 2 quarter game.
Our girls had lots of fun with their first game of the season and can’t wait to play their next game!
