The bond construction process continues to be in the meeting phases to gather input from staff. The plans for phase 1, new classrooms for grade school and high school, are just about complete and will be submitted for bids soon. The approval of these bids should be at the June 12th board meeting and construction is set to begin in July.
Zach Snethen from HTK, Eric Stallbaumer with AHRS and Tucker Peddicord with Lighthouse Construction met with staff on February 7th to help finalize plans for the first phase of the construction process before they go out for bids. This was the 2nd meeting for the high school science teachers and the primary teachers from the grade school. The group also conducted their first meeting with high school art, band, office staff and special education for the remodeling phase at the high school. The staff input has been very valuable during pre-construction and the meetings will continue throughout the different construction phases. Plans will be shared with the board during their meeting February 13th.

For the next few months, the construction for the bond will be in the planning stages. Shovels will hit the ground on June 1st and a great deal of planning will take place before that can happen. Zach Snethen from HTK, Eric Stallbaumer with AHRS and Tucker Peddicord with Lighthouse Construction, met with administration, teachers, Amy Sudbeck #115 BOE and Steve Rothers to begin discussion on the layout of the classrooms and building infrastructure. Input will continue to be gathered so that bids can be requested and submitted. Survey crews have also been busy identifying underground lines.
