Fourth Grade Kids Grouped at the Field Trip

The fourth grade class at Nemaha Central Elementary School traveled to Marysville to visit Alcove Springs on Monday, May 9. There the students were able  to experience many things that have to do with nature.

Students hiked some trails and saw many different types of animals along the way. One trail they hiked was a trail that was part of the Oregon Trail. The Oregon Trail was used by travelers heading west and it eventually crosses the Big Blue River. The guides also talked more about the river and how it was discovered. At the end of all the trails, there was a place for students to play games and run around.

Audrey Sudbeck said, “My favorite part was going on the trail. I also liked hiking up the big hill.”

Kristen DeLosRios said, “My favorite part was hiking. The view of it was also pretty.”
