The Nemaha Central Middle School track team traveled to Sabetha on Thursday, April 14 for their first full meet of the season. The actual first meet was started in Falls City and then it was rained out.
The NCMS track team has 57 athletes out for track consisting of twelve 8th-grade boys, eighteen 7th-grade boys, twelve 8th-grade girls, and fifteen 7th-grade girls. The NCMS track team is also managed by Ben Bletscher, Kendra Schmitz, and Makenzie Howard and coached by Ms. Maggie Hasenkamp, Mrs. Nikki Honeyman, Mrs. Karla Kramer, and Mrs. Lisa Holthaus. At the Sabetha meet, NC competed against Auburn and Sabetha. Below are the individual results from the meet:

“It was a fun night and I think everyone had a great time,” said Hendryx Wahl.
The 7th-grade girls team finished third, the 7th-grade boys team finished first, the 8th grade girls team finished third, and the 8th-grade boys team finished second.
