The Thunder wrestlers watch and cheer on their teammates .

The Nemaha Central Middle School wrestlers took a short trip to Onaga for their fourth meet of the season. There were 17 wrestlers participating for the Thunder at the meet and most did very well.

Here are the results of the meet: 

Harry Langill wrestling at 80 pounds went 2-0, Isaac Heinen wrestling at 85 pounds went 2-0, Harper Foster wrestling at 90 pounds went 1-0, Gus Rusche wrestling at 105 pounds went 1-2, Brady Koch wrestling at 105 pounds went  2-1, Layton Thomas wrestling at 110 pounds went 0-2, Conner Lueger wrestling at 110 pounds went 2-1, Jordan Lewis wrestling at 115 went 1-2, Sebastian Randall wrestling at 120 pounds went 1-1, Caleb Hynek wrestling at 127 pounds went 1-1. Jayden Seitz wrestling at 134 pounds went 1-2, Kalem Schmelzle wrestling at 165 pounds went 0-1, Kyler Ganstrom wrestling at 165 pounds went 2-0, Daniel Childress wrestling at 165 pounds went 2-0, Cole Lyons wrestling at 165 pounds went 1-0, and  Carter Hajek wrestling at 180 pounds went 3-0.

Daniel Childress said, “Everyone wrestled great and we won more matches than we lost.”

“It was great to see everyone’s hard work pay off,” said Caleb Hynek.

Overall the Thunder went 22-13 at the Onaga meet. The NC wrestlers keep improving every day and continue striving for their goal of being the best team in the league. The wrestling team is excited for the remainder of their season.
