The Nemaha Central cross country team competed at Jackson Heights on Tuesday, September 13 to run a 3200-meter race. The runners from Nemaha Central consisted of Bob Langill, Harry Langill, Brady Koch, Gus Rusche, Rachel Nordhus, and Carson Edelman. There were 48 middle school boy runners and 30 middle school girl runners present at the meet.

Bob Langill placed sixth in the eighth-grade boys' race. Brady Koch placed first, Harry Langill placed third, Gus Rusche placed fifteenth, and Carson Edelman placed sixteenth in the seventh grade boys race. Rachel Nordhus placed sixth in the seventh-grade girls' race.

“It was a tough meet and we were not used to the heat,” said Bob Langill.

The cross country team had a great time and ran hard at the meet. Overall the NCMS cross country team did a great job and the athletes will try to improve as the season progresses.
