NCMS Track
On Tuesday, April 28, 2026 NCMS had a track meet at Wamego.The teams that participated were Abilene, Blue Valley Randolph, Chapman, Clay Center, Concordia, Nemaha Central, Rock Creek, Riley County, Flint Hills, Santa Fe Trail, and Wamego. The results of the meet are as follows:
Seventh Grade Girls Results:

It was a particularly hot day, making the conditions challenging for the athletes. Despite the heat, everyone gave their best performances during the meet and represented NCMS well. Many students did their best and finished in good places.

On Monday, May 4th, the NCMS track team got to compete on their home track. Even though it was hot and humid, athletes still competed very well. The schools that attended were: NC, SPPS, Axtell, Centralia, and Sabetha. Here are the results:

Overall, the Thunder athletes competed very well. Both Nemaha Central 8th grade teams placed 1st overall. Our 7th grade boys team placed 2nd overall, while our 7th grade girls team placed 3rd overall. This was their last regular season track meet before the Big East League meet. Athletes are working very hard to do their very best at the league meet!
