Family eating lunch

Who doesn't love a picnic? The Nemaha Central third graders hosted a picnic for friends or family members on Friday, August 30, 2024. The picnic was held at the Seneca City Park shelter house. Many students invited their parents or grandparents while some chose family friends.

Bellamy Strathman said, “Seeing my dad was my favorite part of the Picnic with Pals.”

Students and their guests brought sack lunches and enjoyed the time eating together. When students were done having lunch, they played at the park with their friends and family members. Some students played tag, some played football, and others played on the park equipment.

Ty Kuckelman said, “Playing with my friends was my favorite part of the picnic.”

It was a beautiful day, and the turnout of guests filled the shelter houses at the park. The students enjoyed eating with their pals and playing at the park. It was a great family connection event.
