Hudson Kuckleman taking down his opponent

On Saturday, November 11th the Thunder wrestling team traveled to Concordia. The teams there were the Nemaha Central Thunder, the Concordia Panthers, the South Salene Cougars, the Clay Center Tigers, and the Marysville Bulldogs.

Four of the five eighth graders wrestled. Braden Macke wrestled in the 105 pound weight class and placed third with a record of 1-2. Noah Hilbert wrestled in the 127 pound weight class and placed second with a record of 2-1. Cole Ranieri wrestled in the 134 pound weight class and got third with a record of 1-2. Landon Mady did not compete due to injury.

All five of the seventh graders wrestled. Tyson Beebe-Dishong wrestled in the 75 pound weight class and got second place with a record of 2-1. Hudson Kuckelman wrestled in the 90 pound class and got second with a record 1-2. Tate Edelman wrestled in the 141 pound weight class and got fifth with a record of 0-4. Kaden Sperfslage wrestled in the 148 pound weight class and got forth with a record 0-3. Kollin Wagner wrestled in the 215 pound weight class and got forth with a record of 0-3

Tate Edelman said, “ Everyone wrestled well but we can still get better.”

Overall the NCMS wrestlers battled hard but could not pull through points. The Concordia Panthers won the meet with 248 points and Nemaha Central got fifth with 65 points.
