On Sep 28, 2023, The Thunder fought Holton. The game started with a Thunder kick to the receiving team Holton. Both teams battled back and forth. Then, Carter Stallbaumer has an amazing catch to score a touchdown. After that, Dason Hill completes a 2-point conversion. NC was really undersized so they had to work really hard. Going into halftime the score was 8-0. Starting the second half, Dason Hill had a 15-yard kick return. Then, on the next play, Cole Ranieri throws an interception. After a few plays, Holton scores a touchdown and ties the game. Despite Holton scoring the Thunder stayed fired up. Holton and the Thunder continued to battle. Until Dason Hill scores the Thunder their second touchdown. The Thunder defense continues to play hard not allowing Holton to score. The Thunder take the win and ruin Holton's undefeated season.
"Both teams were good but we played harder and took the win", said Noah Hilbert.
Kollin Wagner noted, "It was close but we still had the victory Holton because our team had good communication".
