The Nemaha Central preschoolers had so much excitement leading up to their Lyrics and Literacy Night held on Tuesday, March 7 in the NCEMS gymnasium. The event was organized under the direction of their teachers, Mrs. Melinda Jones and Mrs. Shelly Schmelzle.
There were several great musical acts performed by the preschoolers, consisting of the following songs: “The Lion Sleeps Tonight,” “I’m Going On a Bear Hunt,” “Stand Up Sit Down,” and “Herman the Worm.”
Lincoln Isenhart said, “My favorite song was ‘Herman the Worm’!”
Following the program, the students brought their family and friends to their classrooms to show them what they have been doing throughout the school year. Some of the highlights were: the learning centers, artwork, spot on the rug where they sit, and their lockers. The students were very excited to show others around the classroom.
Emilee Sauer said, “My favorite part was the 'Bear Hunt'!"
