NCMS Last Cross Country Meet

    The Nemaha Central Middle School Cross Country turned it up for their last meet on Tuesday, October 16. So far, NCMS has had a great season and were looking to run well in their final meet. The teams participating in the meet were Doniphan West, Horton, Kickapoo Nation, Nemaha Central, Riverside, Cornerstone, and Jackson Heights.

    For the seventh grade boys, Miles Carpenter finished in 2nd place with a time of 14:55 and Joe Korber finished 7th place with a time of 17:04.  There were 11 runners participating in the seventh-grade boys' division.

    Brandon Rogers and Jack Holthaus represented NC in the boys' race. Rogers finished in 3rd place with a time of 16:25, while Holthaus placed 4th with a time of 17:59.  The eighth-grade boys only had 4 participants in the race.

    In the eighth-grade girls' race, Elena Gonzalez finished in 6th place out of 9 runners with a time of 20:29. The NCMS Cross Country team did a great job this season!

    "The middle school cross country runners made steady improvements during the course of the season. They ended the season with each runner putting forth their best effort of the season," said Jon Thomas.
