The Lady Thunder took yet several exciting wins at Holton on Monday, September 10. The games started out for 8th grade A team with Addy Holthaus serving some amazing serves. Nemaha Central blew Holton out of the water in the A game. The scores of the match were 25-11 and 25-14. The NC A team is now 8-0 on the season.

The 8th grade B team started with Kaylee Finney serving. Finney had an amazing kill along with Camryn Kaster, and several other B team players. The first game was fairly easy for the B team winning 25-11. The second game was closer but the Thunder captured the win 25-20. For B team, there was a 3rd game played for practice. The score for the 3rd game was 15-13, Nemaha Central. The NC B team is now 3-0 on the season.

“Having played quite a few games the previous Saturday, we didn’t really have much time to recover. So, the game wasn’t too exciting since we were all still tired, but it was fun,” said Gracyn Lierz.

In the 7th grade A team match the scores were 25-18, Nemaha Central and 24-26 Holton. The A team played a 3rd set in which the Thunder team played well to get the match victory, 15-9. The 7th grade A team has a record of 3-0 on the season.

The 7th grade B team was up next, and they too played a three-game set that was decided in the third set. In the first set, the NC team outscored Holton 25-22. The second set was another hard-fought set in which Holton came out on top, 20-25. The deciding set for the 7th grade B team ended in NC's favor as they outscored Holton 15-11. The 7th grade B team is also 3-0 on the season. Altogether the Lady Thunder racked up four more match wins for the volleyball team! The Thunder volleyball teams are all undefeated on the season and look forward to a few home matches in the upcoming week.

"There was a lot of room to serve in the big gym.  We were not talking much and then Coach Holthaus got us going again," said Maggie Koch.
