NCHS MATERIALS LIST FOR 2018-19

CLASS MATERIALS REQUIRED

FOR SCHOOL YEAR 2018-2019

GENERAL SUPPLIES:  Earbuds or headphones                                                                  

 

Mr. M. Mayberry:  

    CHEMISTRY:  1" 3-ring binder, spiral notebook, scientific calculator

    EMERGING TECH:  1.5” 3-ring binder

    PHYSICS:  1” 3-ring binder, spiral notebook, scientific calculator       

           

Mrs. Schmitz: 

    EARTH SCIENCE:  1 ½” 3-ring binder, 3-hole punched folder, loose leaf paper, colored pencils (8 or 12 count), and a highlighter   

    PRINCIPLES OF ENGINEERING:  1 ½” 3-ring binder, 3-hole punched folder, loose leaf  paper, and a spiral notebook

    ANATOMY/PHYSIOLOGY: 2” 3-ring binder, college ruled loose leaf notebook paper, note cards, colored pencils (24+ count), and a highlighter

                   

Mr. S. Mayberry:

    BIOLOGY:  1 ½” 3-ring binder, composition book, college ruled loose leaf notebook paper, grid notebook, pens, and colored pencils (24+)            

    ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE:  1 ½” 3-ring binder, 3-hole punched folder, loose leaf paper, tab dividers (at least 5), grid notebook, pens, and a highlighter

 

Mr. Thomas

    ALGEBRA:  4 AAA batteries (bring on 1st day of school to power your calculator)

    GEOMETRY:   Scientific calculator

    ALL CLASSES:  2-pocket portfolio with 3-hole clasp

 

Mrs. Meyer

    ALGEBRA II, PRE-CALC, & CALCULUS:  1" 3-ring binder with 4 divider tabs

    COMPUTER APPL:  One 2-pocket folder

 

Mr. Scism: 

    ACCTG, ADV ACCTG, ENTREP, CONS/ PERS FINANCE, MKTG, COMP  GRAPHICS, & MEDIA TECH WORKPLACE:  1" or 1 ½" 3-ring binder      

 

Mr. Williams:  

    UNITED STATES HISTORY, AMERICAN GOVERNMENT, & INTRO TO GOV./PUBLIC ADMIN.:  3" 3-ring binder (ONLY for U.S. History)

 

Ms. Cisneros:  

    SPANISH I & II:  3-ring binder with divider pages, pencil/pen, 1 package of 3x5 white index cards (plain or ruled), highlighter, colored pencils

 

Mrs. Enneking: 

    ENGLISH II and SENIOR WORKSHOP:  Paper, pen, and pencils

 

Ms. Gee:  

    ENGLISH III:  2” binder, 5 tab dividers, 3 different colored highlighters, 3 different colored pens, 1 black Sharpie/magic marker, 1-subject college ruled composition

       notebook (flat binding preferred, no spiral please), 1 pack of college ruled loose-leaf paper

    WORLD HISTORY:  2” binder, 1 pack of college ruled loose-leaf paper, colored highlighters & colored pencils, 1 black fine-tip Sharpie/magic marker

 

Mrs. Heinen:  

    ENGLISH I:  One spiral notebook, 1” binder, highlighter, post-it notes

    APPLIED ENGLISH IV:  One spiral notebook

     ORAL COMMUNICATIONS:  1 pkg 3x5 note cards     

 

Mr. Hajek: 

    HEALTH:  1” binder, notebook, and pen/pencil

    FITNESS:  Gym clothes (t-shirt with sleeves, shorts or sweat pants, indoor shoes)

 

Mrs. Buessing

    NUTRITION & WELLNESS / CULINARY ESSENTIALS:  notebook, apron or old shirt, recipe cards

     FAMILY STUDIES AND HUMAN GROWTH & DEVELOPMENT:  notebook

     CAREER & LIFE PLANNING:  shears for cutting fabric, pins, tape measure, seam ripper, fabric marking pen, 6" sewing gauge, 3 buttons, recipe cards, 9 8"x8" fabric

           squares, and 1 1/2 yards of  44"-45" material       

     CAREER & COMM CONNECTIONS AND EARLY CHILDHOOD APPS:  Students need TB test & health assessment for job sites

           

Mr. Stanley

    GENERAL SERVICE I, II, & III:  Safety glasses

                         

Mr. Wertenberger:  (SAFETY GLASSES may be purchased at the school office)

    PRODUCTION WELDING I & II:  Tape measure, pliers, either a soap stone or a paint marker for metal, safety glasses, welding gloves, and one 3-ring binder                     

      WOODWORKING PRIN./FURNITURE & CABINET FAB.:  Tape measure, carpenter pencil, 3-ring binder, & safety glasses

       CARPENTRY I & II:  Safety glasses, small tool belt/tool pouch similar to www.bucketboss.com/50300.html This does not need to be a complete tool belt system.  It should

           be able to hold the following items that need to be brought to class as well:

                25'-30' Measuring Tape

                Speed Square

                10-12 carpentry pencils (preferably round) Only bring 1 to class, bring others as needed

                Utility Knife

                Claw hammer (at least 16 oz.)

 

Mr. Stallbaumer: 

    WOODWORKING PRIN./FURNITURE & CABINET FAB. AND DRAFTING/CAD:  a project in mind, pencils, tape measure, safety glasses, and project supplies

        as needed

 

Mrs. Swart: 

    COLLEGE ENGLISH/ENGLISH IV:  1 pkg index cards, 2 expo markers, highlighter, binder, dividers, college ruled paper, pencils, post it tabs, and red, green, and black

           pens

     WEB DESIGN:  No materials

     YEARBOOK:  Memory card (preferably at least 8-16 gb; don’t buy a compact card), memory card reader

       PHOTOGRAPHY:  Memory card (preferably at least 8-16 gb; don’t buy a compact card), memory card reader, binder, paper

 

Ms. Hasenkamp:  LIFETIME FITNESS:  Shoes that are for indoor use only

            HEALTH SCIENCE CAREERS:  One 1" binder

            APPLIED MATH / APPLIED GEOMETRY & BASIC ALGEBRA:  One-subject notebook and scientific calculator

 

Mrs. Haverkamp: 

    AG COURSES:  1 ½” or 2” 3-ring binder, dividers, college ruled notebook paper or a spiral notebook that will fit inside the 3-ring binder
