The day students had been waiting for, field day, arrived on Monday, May 21.  Students in first grade through seventh grade had some fun on a beautiful May day to celebrate the end of the school year.  Field day is set up with different stations that students participate in with their classmates to have some fun and get some physical exercise at the same time. This year, Mr. Cory Bass and Mrs. Nikki Honeyman, physical education teachers, organized the event.

Some of the activities that students participated in were the long jump, 400 or 100 meter run, obstacle course, shot put, soccer, kickball, and bean bag toss.  A few new ones this year involved water, which sometimes is not possible depending on the weather. There was a wet sponge war, which is like dodgeball, and a water relay that help cool students down.  Also, the First Heritage Bank of Seneca provided sno cones to the students when it was there turn to take a break from activities.

A fun-filled day was had by both the students and the faculty members.  Here’s to another great school year that has come and gone.  The official ending of the school year took place on Wednesday, May 23.  Have a fantastic summer!
