The Nemaha Central Middle School volleyball teams faced off against Troy on Thursday, September 14. The A-team played two great games! They were slow with lots of substitutions, but in the end they came away with a victory. Troy struggled to match up to the Thunder’s skills, therefore, the Thunder team was victorious 25-11 in the first set and 25-15 in the second set.

After the A-team match, the C-team took the court. The C-team played two sets to fifteen. In the first set the score was only 15-3, however in the second set they had some major improvements in their serving and had a closer score losing 15-10.

The B-team played following the C-team match. The first set was close, but the Thunder team lost the set, 25-22. In the second set, the Thunder team came back and won with the score of 25-16. In the third and final set the B-team unfortunately lost again,15-7. During the match, the girls were trying their best to pass, set, and hit even if it wasn’t successful.

“We had a really great time. We may not have won, but we learned a lot about the game, ourselves, and our team. The game was great for us to work even harder and improve our team,” said Ellie Mady.

Jillian Stueve said, “We played fantastic and it was fun to play and watch.”

The Nemaha Central Middle School volleyball team is very proud of how well they played in the games against Troy. They hope they do even better in the future games.
