On Friday, April 28, the kindergarten classes from Nemaha Central and Elementary School went on a field trip to the Topeka zoo. The students spent several hours walking around looking at the zoo animals. Despite the cooler temperatures, and the spotty sprinkles the zoo animals were out there for them to see. On their way back to school they stopped at Holton's park for a late lunch and to play in the park. Afterward, they returned to the school.

"Everyone had a great time at the Topeka zoo and enjoyed the picnic at the Holton city park," said Pat Jones.
