On Thursday, February 16, the third through fifth graders attended  Family Fun Night hosted by the physical education teacher, Cory Bass. The Family Fun Night is a fitness night for all third through fifth graders to bring their parents to play typical PE games with them in the NCEMS gym. The games that took place were circle ball, scooter hockey, and the Thunder run. Circle ball is played with a volleyball with the participants in a circle trying to hit the ball between someone's legs. For the band and jump rope stations, participants performed different jumps and used the bands in different ways to stretch.  Scatter ball is when everybody gets a dodge ball and runs around trying to hit people with them. Scooter hockey is when you sit on small scooters with mini hockey sticks and try to hit a small ball in a net. The Thunder run is where you run down the court doing exercises.

"It was very fun stretching and playing and riding the scooters, shooting long shots, playing circle ball, and having competitions with other families," said Cooper Scott.
