On Monday, January 23, the Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School hosted a pep rally for the SPPS basketball games and Team Schnak night. The pep rally started off with Dr. Beck welcoming everyone to the pep rally. After that, Dr. Beck called Coach Cory Bass and had him bring his team down. Coach Bass had them introduce themselves and state what positions they play.

Next, the girls team was called down by Coach Ashley Carlson. She then called out her assistant coach, Deb Kramer. The girls then said what their names were and what position they played. The cheerleaders then showed a game to the A-team girls and A-team boys. The objective of the game was to get your team through each hoop with your ankles tied with a scarf to another person's ankles. The boys A-team had got through first but someone tripped and made everyone go down into a pile of bodies. The faculty even participated in this activity.  The traditional VICTORY cheer was followed with the sixth grade winning the spirit stick. Lastly, Dr. Beck wished both teams good luck in their basketball games that night.

Katelynn Scott said, "The pep rally was one of the best that I have cheered in. Everyone was full of spirit getting ready for the very anticipated game. It was a great experience and everyone really enjoyed it."
