On a cold Monday evening, the Nemaha Central Middle School Boys Basketball team faced off against Centralia.  The A-team game started out rough with NC only scoring 5 points to their 8. In the second quarter, Centralia really got their offense going and took a 21 to 9 lead into halftime. The third quarter NC started to pick up their offense and defense and outscored Centalia by a point. In the remaining quarter the NC boys fought back but were unable to catch up with Centalia losing the game 26-37.

Cole Engelken said, "They were good, but we should have played harder."

The NC boys B-team game started out rough with Centralia outscoring them 19-0.  At halftime, the NC team had scored and had slowed Centralia down some as the score was 4-24.  The boys continued to try hard and pick up their defense as they were able to score a few more points.  They ended up losing the game 14-39.

"We didn't play our best and we could have played better," said Jeremiah Dalrymple.
