On Thursday, December 8, the Nemaha Central Basketball girls went head to head against the Frankfort Wildcats. The A-team girls had a tough night and couldn't catch up with the Frankfort girls. They tried their hardest, but they weren't shooting the best that night. The Frankfort girls were pressing and jumping the ball and then they would go in and score a layup. The NC girls pushed themselves, but were not the dominant team that night. The NC girls lost the game 18-31.

"We tried our hardest and it was a tough loss but we will try our hardest to get to OTL and beat them!" said 8th grader, Kari Heideman.

The B-team girls played with more intensity and made good, quick decisions compared to other games, but the competition was much greater. By half time they were down 4-15, but they had improved since the beginning of the game. It was a tough game and they attempted several offenses and defenses, but the Wildcats figured the plays out. The girls ended up losing 8-26 in the game.

"Even though we lost we all ran and worked hard and at the end of the night we were just glad we did this good!" said 7th grader, Ellie Mady.
