The Nemaha Central Thunder Middle School Basketball Boys played against the Frankfort Wildcats on Thursday, December 8. The C-team boys got a chance to play against the Wildcats but lost the game, 16-8. Next, the B-team boys took the court.  The B-team boys got off to a slow start and were trailing the Wildcats at halftime. In the second half, the Thunder started to close the gap, but by the end of the game the Thunder was defeated by the Wildcats, 34-20.

"Even though we lost, our defense improved because we talked more," said Kolby Koch.

The A-team boys started off the night 11-8 in the first quarter with the Thunder in the lead. The boys played hard to make sure the Wildcats didn't get ahead. In the second quarter, NC had increased their lead and took a 25-17 score into halftime.  The Thunder went on to keep their lead and defeated the Wildcats 52-40.

"We didn't play well in the first quarter, but we got it together in the second half," said Landen Baker.
