On Thursday, December 1, the Nemaha Central Middle School boys basketball team played against the Troy Trojans. The Nemaha Central A-Team played really well in the first quarter outhustling the Trojans and racking up 16 points, while holding Troy scoreless. In the second quarter, Troy played a little bit better, but still no match for NC as they took a 22-4 lead into halftime.  In the beginning of the third quarter, NC had another good run of points outscoring the Trojans 13-4. NC continued to play well, adding 10 points to their score, beating Troy 45-14.

Dalton Huerter said, "We did a great job, but we still have things to work on."

The B-Team played exceptionally well against Troy in the first quarter, scoring ten points, making it 10-2. In the second quarter, NC played a little less aggressive, letting Troy score a couple of points. They were still no match for NC though. The first half closed with a score of 16-7. The third quarter was a lot better. NC ran the ball up and down the court to make the Troy defense tired. It worked, making the score 31-11 by the end of the third quarter. In the start of the fourth quarter NC scored a couple of more points. The Thunder picked up another win with a final score of 36-17.

Jacob Heinen said, "It was nice to get a big lead like that and cruise to a win for once."
