Nemaha Central Elementary and Middle School hosted a pep rally on Thursday, October 6. The cheerleaders opened the pep rally by doing  the cheer Clap It Out to get everyone excited. After the cheerleaders finished their wonderful performance, Dr. Beck welcomed everyone to the pep rally. She talked about the last games for football and volleyball against St. Marys and the upcoming cross country meets. Then, she had the coaches come down and talk about how their season was going. The coaches had some very inspirational words to say about their players, season, and team!

Mrs. Honeyman talked about her awesome team, and encouraged others to come and cheer them on at the OTL tournament. Mr. Hiltgen had his football players demonstrate one of their plays in football. Next, the cheerleaders called down a few 8th graders to play the traditional game, Hungry Hungry Hippos! The object of the game is to use a basket and a scooter to trap as many volleyballs as you can with the basket in one minute. They played three games with 8th grade girls, 8th grade boys, and the coaches with Dr. Beck!

The cheerleaders then performed another cheer to get the crowd rowdy. Lastly, the best part of all pep rallies took place, the Victory Cheer! Ms. Seitz and Mrs. Bass were the judges of this victory cheer. It took them both a minute to decide, but they both agreed  that the winners were 4th grade! They were very impressed by how loud the classes were today.

"It was a lot of fun watching Dr. Beck play Hungry Hungry Hippos," said Mia Schmitz, 7th grader.

Seventh grader, Slade Uselton said, "The pep rally was a lot fun, and the cheerleaders performance was awesome!"

It was an amazing pep rally and everyone had a spectacular time!
