The Career on Wheels event for students in kindergarten through fifth grade was held on Wednesday, September 28. The presenters informed the students about their career and how they used their vehicle as part of their job. The students were able to ask questions about the careers of the presenters and about their vehicles. Students were also able to explore some of the vehicles by getting inside of them. The students had fun getting to learn about some Careers on Wheels.

The presenters that attended the Career on Wheels event with their vehicles were: Jordan Weaver brought a police car from the Seneca Police Department, Brett Haverkamp and Brandon Ohlsen brought a fire truck from the Senaca Fire Department, Clete Kramer brought an on-farm tire truck from the Nemaha County Coop/Mr. Tire, Ryan Hammes brought a crop sprayer from Hammes Seed, Jessica Stallbaumer brought a veterinary truck, from the Seneca Vet Clinic, and Larry Burden brought a semi truck from Fairview Express.

Laurie Niehues said, "Some of the goals of the career event were to introduce students to a variety of careers, to help students learn the connection between their studies and how they are applied to the world of work, and to expose students to positive career role models.
