The Nemaha Central Middle School Cross Country team met at Rock Creek  to face off against some other middle schools on Tuesday, September 27. The Rock Creek meet is the largest meet NC has attended for middle school cross country.  There were forty 8th grade boys junior varsity participants and thirty-eight 8th grade boys varsity participants.

The NC  boys placed in the top ten for 8th grade junior varsity. Cole Engelken led the way for the team finishing 8th place with a time of 14:12. Miles Stueve followed right behind him with a 9th place finish in a time of 14:15. Anthony Gonzalez claimed a 10th place finish with a time of 14:21. What a great day for the Thunder as all 3 athletes medaled.

Anthony Gonzalez said, "I was really excited that I got a medal in this race, and it was cloudy that day so it was not that hot."
