"How To" Guide for www.usd115.org

If you are having trouble navigating your way through the new USD 115 website, this article will provide some simple tips that may help you find what you are looking for. One of the first things you will notice on the web site is there are scrolling banners across the top of the pages which tells of current events, early dismissals, or no school days.

The website is a place to find out current information about events going on at the various school buildings including sports scores, play information, and classroom projects. One way to search for information on the website is by using the search bar, located in the top right corner of the home page with a magnifying glass. To use this tool to search for articles from today or the past, simply type keywords that you are looking for and search.

Also, towards the top of the page there are five pictures (one of each building) with drop down menus. These are called buckets. The the buckets are used to categorize information for each of the individual buildings and the district. The drop down menus are useful to find a specific building or district information.

Calendar information is available at the right. If you want to view the entire the calendar there is a link below the Calendar Highlights portion of the web page. You can change the month and see the events that took place in the month. Also, you can limit the calendar events by changing the building or activity options at the top of the month view.

For individuals interested in the school board meeting agendas and minutes, those can be found in the General Information --> District News section. When looking at this section, there are links at the left in the gray bar for board meeting agendas and minutes.

Additional links to frequently used items can be found above the five main buckets. These additional items include PowerSchool, weather, NVHS lunch/breakfast menu, and more.

Finally, to return to the home page from any article within the site, simply click on the header area that contains the USD 115 Nemaha Central Schools logo. That is the purple and blue area that appears at the top of each page or article in the site.

Good luck navigating!
