Welcome back FALCON FANS!
It is hard to believe but a new school year is quickly approaching. I hope everyone has enjoyed a safe and relaxing summer. I know our family has really enjoyed baseball, swimming, and vacation. However, Kelly and I along with the kids are all ready for school to begin; I hope your family is as excited as ours! It will be another great year at B&B Jr-Sr High School.
As is true with every school year, changes do occur. Please take the time to look at the handbook on attendance and cell phone use. These are two new areas of change for B&B. We welcome as well a wonderful change to B&B Jr-Sr High, 6th graders! Now officially Junior High students! The 6th grade students will be allowed to participate in all Junior High activities besides football. With this new and exciting change will be growing pains as we adjust to a 6-12 building, but rest assured we are very excited to have the new addition of 6th grade.
I would like to invite all parents of extracurricular students to a parent meeting on August 9th at 6:00pm in the new gym. (Your calendar at enrollment states 7:00pm, THAT IS WRONG, it is 6:00pm) From there we will break off and meet with Junior High and High School coaches for individual meetings. This will allow all parents 6-12 to ask questions of myself regarding any policy, calendar, or general questions for the upcoming year.
Enrollment will be August 6th from NOON-7:00pm and August 7th from 7:30am-1:00pm in the B&B school library. We will only be enrolling students attending B&B Jr-Sr High. If you are enrolling your elementary student at Nemaha Valley Elementary that enrollment is on August 2nd and 3rd. During enrollment you will also be given the chance to sign-up for:
1. Paper copy of calendar and student handbook at JH/HS
2. Textcaster—please do so, we send out updates via this service
3. Electronic calendaring via Google calendar—also visit www.usd115.org the calendar is uploaded and will be changed as events change at B&B.
4. Computerized application for free and reduced meals. The free and reduced paper copy is included in the packet of information.
